Creating a Proposal
- Connect Your Wallet: Ensure your Ethereum wallet (compatible with Base, like MetaMask) is connected to the Base network.
- Navigate to ‘Add a New Proposal’: Find the form under this section.
- Fill Out the Proposal Form:
- Enter a brief description of your proposal in the “Description” field.
- Choose an end time and date for the voting period in the “End Timestamp” field.
- Submit the Proposal: Click the “Submit” button. Your wallet will prompt you to confirm the transaction.
- Pay Gas Fees: Ensure you have ETH in your wallet to cover gas fees. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
Voting on a Proposal
- Find an Open Proposal: Look at the “Current Proposals” section to find proposals you can vote on.
- Navigate to ‘Vote on a Proposal’: Find the form under this section.
- Enter the Proposal ID: Input the ID number of the proposal you want to vote on.
- Select Your Vote: Choose “Yes” or “No” for your vote.
- Submit Your Vote: Click the “Vote” button. Your wallet will prompt you to confirm the transaction.
- Pay Gas Fees: If you receive a JSON-RPC error, increase your gas fee to about 13 cents worth of ETH. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
Viewing Proposal Results
- After the end timestamp of a proposal, you can check its status in the “Current Proposals” section to see if it passed or failed.
Important Notes:
- Token Balance Requirement: You must hold FTHT on Base to create proposals.
- Browser and Wallet Compatibility: Use a web browser that supports Ethereum wallet extensions (like Chrome with MetaMask).
- Network Selection: Ensure your wallet is set to the Base network.
- Gas Fees: Keep an eye on ETH balance for gas fees, especially if you encounter transaction errors.
